Oregon Aerial Video and Aerial Photography
RISE is my first aerial short video which showcases the diverse landscape of Oregon from a new perspective. As a landscape photographer/filmmaker, Oregon is a compositional wonderland from the rugged coast to the lush forests. It definitely has something to offer for anyone seeking a little bit of adventure.
This project started for me in 2015 when I first got into aerial photography, I would take many road trips through Oregon gathering more and more footage. Until my hard drives had over 16 hours of aerial content to sort through. My love and passion for UAV filming and photography happened after the first time I went out flying. I have to give a huge thanks to the extremely talented Russell Preston Brown and Barry Blanchard for introducing me into the craft and helping me out along the way. Along with the video I filmed, I also shot a ton of Oregon aerial photography. Below you will find some of my favorites during the filming of RISE.
Here are two of my favorite still images I took while filming in Oregon. They are both top down birds eye photographs. The first image was taken above Koosah Falls. The lighting caused and mist created a beautiful rainbow towards the bottom of the falls. The second photo was taken above a winding forest road before sunset.
Here are two more aerial still photographs. Both taken near the Columbia river gorge near Portland Oregon.
Before releasing my Oregon aerial video, I put out this short video showing off Sparks Lake near Bend. I lucked out with a completely still morning allowing the lake reflections to be crystal clear. Sparks Lake has always been one of my favorite places to take landscape photography/timelapse photography so to see if from above with this kind of light was very special.
